make ure basics & concepts clear regrading this...k

i will start from the basic definition..

Intrinsic describes a characteristic or property of some thing or action which is essential and specific to that thing or action, and which is wholly independent of any other object, action or consequence.

A characteristic which is not essential or inherent is extrinsic.

For example in biology, intrinsic effects originate from "inside" an organism or cell, such as an autoimmune disease.

BUT...

some more specific uses u must bee thinking of..!

did u mean Intensive and extensive properties...

INTENSIVE PROPERTIES

These are those properties which depend only on the nature of the substance and are independent on the amount of substance present in the sysytem....

examples....!!

Temperature
Pressure
density
Concentration
Viscosity
Refractive Index
Surface Tension
Specific Heat
Boiling Point
Freezing Point
Melting Point

EXTENSIVE PROPERTIES

These are those properties which depend on the quantity of matter contained in the system...

example...!!..see

mass
volume
Force
energy

when i say energy i mean all of them.like entropy,enthalpy,KE,PE,ME.e...

Hope this is themost appropriate and the best answer uve got...
