Sure, all materials that absorb moisture can be dried. The best way to do it is do distill it first from a crude sample of t-butanol that has been partially dried and filtered over MgSO4, and then collecting the narrow fraction that boils at between 81-84ºC and storing it over molecular sieves.
Alcohols are typically dried by refluxing with magnesium metal until the methoxide forms, removing any water in the process. A tiny crystal of iodine is often added to activate the magnesium. The mixture is then purified by distillation of the alcohol off of the insoluble magnesium methoxide.
