How can i gauge a molecules intermolecular forces, only using the periodic table?

When comparing two molecules like Br2O3 and SO2

Answer:
1. look at difference in electronegativity. This will indicate whether a molecule might be polar or not (higher intermolecular forces).
2. try to work out the shape of the molecule, too. This will confirm or refute 1. above.
