Is plating Ni over Solder (63-37) possible? What are the disadvantages? Reliabilty?



Answer:
NO! Not in any plating process I have ever known. Ni is a base metal, You Can process plate, almost anything over Ni. but you cannot plate Ni. over anything else!!
