Both picric acid and tannic acid are used in the treatment of burns, why?

Answer:
hmm? I am not sure but I will give it a shot :)

Since burns damage the skin, I think the acids are strong enough to destroy the bacteria, but gentle enough for the skin. A
burn destroys your skin cells and requires these gentle acids. :)
Both act as an antiseptic, killing bacteria and other invading germs.
