Intermolecular forces?
Answer:
the intermolecular forces are the forces of attraction between particles in a solid, liquid or gas. intermolecular forces are strong in a solid and this is why they are so closely packed together, they are weaker in a liquid and even weaker (almost nonexistent) in a gas. the boling point of a solid is greater than that of a liquid for example because the intermolecular forces are stronger therefore requires more energy to break the particles apart. a lot of energy is required t break the bonds that have been formed between the particles.
