How could some of the elements in the periodic table could be made, when they are an "element"?
The elements that are not founded in nature are mostly Inner transition metals and Transition metals, but how could there be such an element when they have to be compose with two or more substance on earth if they are made by a person. Or do those elements are about spectrum, but light is not a metal.
What would be the use of the elements that are not founded in nature? Are they useful because they have the most electrons in each of their energy levels? Does that mean they are very active? What are the use of making new hard nuclei?
Answer:
The transition metals are indeed naturally occurring, except for Tc, which is a man-made radionuclide. Many are found as ores, which means they might be combined with oxygen or sulfur and so on, and they have to be reduced and isolated if you want the metal.
The purpose of the man-made elements (the transuranium series) is (a) novelty, (b) nuclear technology including radiodiagnostic and radiotherapy.
