Lithotripsy uses ultrasound, called shock waves, to pulverize kidney stones so that you may pass them thru the ureters and urethra with your urine.
No electricity goes thru your body.
You will feel as though someone is tapping firmly & repeatedly on the same spot -- which after a while becomes uncomfortable but is bearable.more irritating than painful.
For goodness sake, why on earth don't you ask your doctor to tell you what the hell he is going to do to your body?
I had liptrotripsy on a stone a few years back and can't remember any thing until it was time to go home
