Is Feron or Fearon an element or a compound?

If not, why am I thinking that it is? I have been thinking it's an element but I can't verify.

Answer:
You are thinking of ferric and ferrous oxide, in which iron is present, with valency 3 and 2, respectively.

Ferrous is an adjective derived from the Latin word ferrum (iron). The term is commonly used to indicate the presence of, or having to do with, iron, most commonly in metallurgy or related industries.

In chemistry, ferrous is reserved for iron with oxidation number of +2 (denoted Fe^2+), whereas ferric indicates that it has oxidation number of +3 (denoted Fe^3+).

Ferrous oxide (FeO) is black in color and the main constituent of the mineral wüstite. Ferrous compounds are easily oxidized further to ferric compounds. Ferric oxide (Fe2O3) is red in colour, the reason why Mars is called "the red planet" and is the main component of rust.
Freon (is that it? Was used as a coolant?) is a compound
Feron or Fearon is neither element or compound.
Furan, also known as furane and furfuran, is a heterocyclic organic compound.
You could be thinking of several things such as brucebcirchall's answer
another possibility is you were thinking of ferron, greek for iron(that's why iron is Fe)in that case it's an element
