How long does it take for methanol to break down?

I don't know much about chemistry at all, but I was curious as to how long it would take for methanol to break down? Is there a formula for it? E.g. if you have a glass of methanol, how long until it's gone?

Stupid question, but thanks for taking the time to explain it to me!

Answer:
methanol is so compact that it does not decompose into anything, it simply evaporates. The formuls for it is CH3OH

it looks like this

. H-O
.. |
. H-C-H
... |
.. H

depending upon the surface area of the methanol in contact with the air, it (evaporation) can take a loooonnng time if there is a small surface area in contact with the air or if it is is a cookie sheet, it (evaporation) can be very fast
The formula for methanol is CH3OH. It is poisonous. It evaporates. It does not break down sitting in a glass. It does burn. Evaporated, it is the same formula but is in the air, you can smell it.
