Functional groups of organic compounds?

I am writing to ask whether the following functional groups of organic compounds are found in Salicylic Acid: Carboxylic Acid, Alkene & Alkane

Answer:
Salicylic acid has a Phenol group (an alcohol) and a carboxyl group -COOH (an acid). No alkenes or alkanes because it is an aromatic
Look at the molecule. It's ortho-hydroxybenzoic acid. You've got a phenol, a carboxyic acid, and an aromatic ring. Aromatics are not alkenes. They won't add elemental bromine, for instance.
Carboxylic Acid- Yes
Alkane- No
Alkene- sorta, but no for the purpose of reactions (as far as I know). Salicylic acid is a benzene ring with a carboxylic acid and a hydroxyl group in an ortha position. Benzene is a C6H6 ring with alternating double bonds. The individual C=C bonds are alkenes but because of their structural formation they have their own chemistry.
