If a group II cation unknown solution contains copper, how can you tell through basic inspection?

Answer:
Copper solutions are commonly blue in color, sometimes a bluish green color. A simple flame test would display a GREEN flame.
it would have to have a metalic bond the easy thing to do is to check for electron flow just hook it up to battery...and a light bulb or soemthing
do the flame test - should give bright red color if copper is present
