Describe how the rate of a reaction, Mg + HCl -> MgCl2 + H2, could be increased.?

Answer:
Increase the temperature
Add a catalyst to reduce the activation energy
Use finely divided Mg (rather than ribbon or bulk metal) to increase the surface area
adding heat energy or a catalyst
Increasing the temperature
Adding a catalyst (hard to imagine what that might be, but okay)
Increasing the concentration (pressure) of HCl
Increase concentration of reactants or increase temperature of the reaction. Those are the two simplest ways to do it.
there are several things i would do the obvious ones would be to increase temperature, increase pressure, or add a catalysts. Other not so obvious methods could be to add more moles of reactants or to remove product as it is made. (Le chatelier's principle)
