Wat happens when Zn metal is dipped in CuSO4 solution?give reaction involved.which is more reactive Zn or Cu?

Answer:
This reaction will occur:
Zn(s) + CuSO4(aq) ----> Cu(s) + ZnSO4(aq)

The reduction potential of Cu is higher than Zn, thus that reaction can occur.
A redox reaction occurs, and brown copper metal appears on the surface of the zinc, which is the more reactive metal:

Zn + CuSO4 -----> Cu + ZnSO4
when Zn is dipped in CuSO4 solution, a reddish brown colour appears due to precipitation of copper metal.

Zn + CuSO4 ----> Cu (reddish brown) + ZnSO4

but when a copper rod is placed in a solution of ZnSO4, Zn metal is not precipitated, showing that copper cannot displace zinc for its salt solution. This shows that zinc is more reactive than copper.

Cu +ZnSO4 ----> no reaction
