Why human being used salt?

it is good preservative,gud taste maker and easily available.our body needs gud amount of calcium to make it going.so our ancesters might have found the miracle and included in the diet of their off spirings.remember survival of the fittest.those who used salt in their diet might have survived and must have passed it on to others
It tastes good and is a preservative. A small amount of sodium is also good for you. but only a small amount. Other than that, it serves no real purpose.
Because it enhances flavors and tastes good.
before refrigeration it was the only way to preserve meat. in the human body the sodium ions help with ATP pumps, and other ion channels including neurons
