First:NaOH is added to Al(NO3)3
Second:Result>>a white precipitate is formed.
Third:The white precipitate is soluble in excess NaOH solution.

WHY??

First : Al3+ + 3OH- >> Al(OH)3 (s)
Second : Al(OH)3 + OH- >> Al(OH)4- (aq)
Al(OH)3 is soluble in excess OH- because it forms Al(OH)4-
