Wat r the uses and applications of chemistry?

Answer:
Wow, that is a broad question. Chemists have jobs in practically every industry. Chemists obviously work for companies that produce chemicals (Dow, DuPont) such as plastics, paint, etc. Chemists work for the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and all branches of the military (remember chemical warfare?).

Surprisingly, they are also needed to work for the U.S. Treasury (who makes the ink for paper money?) and also the Library of Congress.

They also are needed in the food industry, such as Proctor and Gamble, Clorox, and even beer and wine companies. One of the biggest employers of chemists is the pharmaceutical companies (somone has to create the drugs).

You can practically pick an industry, and chemists are needed.
