Is normal kitchen use cling film corrosive on metals?



Answer:
no. polymers do not generally react with common metals such aqs iron. in fact they can help prevent iron rusting, by creating a barrier to oxygen!
no...how can it be? - its thin plastic-y stuff...and its dry - dont think that can cause corrosion.

Only if you trap water vapour between the cling film and what ever.
