What will be the fate of common table salt(NaCl if we go on heating it?)?

Answer:
When heated the salt will produce crackling sound due to the water in the salt boiling and producing steam at that temperature. You would notice salt to be jumping which could be the gas pushing the salt around.

The salt melts at about 800C then you get
a orange flame from the sodium in table salt.
It will melt, boil and finally dissociate back into its elements:

NaCl(g) ----> Na(g) + 1/2 Cl2(g).
