Why we need to reheating and reweighing the crucible and cover?

water of hydration(Hydrated salt)

Answer:
To ensure the total dryness of substance, we reheat/ reweigh crucible & lid to constant weight. These mesures will give us the most accurate results.
After 1st drying the empty cruicble weigh in hyrated salt. Then heat up to drive off water of hydration. Then cool down in desicator and reweigh. Repeat the heating and cooling cycle until you get a consistent weight as sometimes you may not have completely dried with one cycle.
You have to reweigh until the weight is constant. This is to ensure that all the water have been removed.
