Trying to extract hydrocodone from harmful APAP. After cooling the solution i was left with two layers. Bottom is basically sludge while top layer is more or less clear solution. Am i supposed to pour all of this mixture, sludge and all, into a coffee filter? or should i leave the sludge in the original container?
Answer:
Just filter the entire solution through cloth (muslin, tightly woven cotton). What makes it through the filter is the good stuff, what stays on top is the crystalized APAP.
