Would I be able to get the 'best' nucleation rxn w/ diet coke using Activated Charcoal? (Great surface area)

Answer:
Lots of surfaces will allow for nucleation of carbon dioxide. Finely ground up kitty litter or oil spill absorbent might be good candidates for that end. They are both members of a family of materials called zeolites, which are highly porous on the molecular level. Molecular sieves might work as well, if you have any in your chem lab, but you'd have to grind them up pretty well first.
