What are the 7 phases of matter?

my teacher asked me the 7 phases of matter but i knew only three...please help me..

Answer:
Perhaps your teacher is confusing phases with States of Matter.

The 6 most commonly accepted States of Matter are:

Solid (both Amorphous and Crystalline)
Liquid (including Liquid Crystal) as a non-compressible fluid
Gas (or compressible fluid)
Plasma (a gas with freely associated electrons)
Filament (non-thermal)
Bose-Einstein condensate (a large number of Bosons in the same quantum state)

A seventh State is not accepted by all:
Degenerate matter (including neutronium)

Supercritical fluid (at high temperatures and pressures) are considered a fluid with properties of both liquids and gases and not a State in themselves.

If your teacher did indeed mean phases, there are six standard phases called:

Solid phase
Liquid phase
Gaseous phase
Compressible fluid
Supercritical fluid
Superheated vapor

The liquid phase for liquid crystals has two phases called the isotropic liquid phase and the nematic liquid phase.
There are only three: solid, liquid, and gas. Sometimes plasma is called a fourth state, but I don't buy that -- a plasma is a gas.
I think your teacher is yanking your chain there's only 4 that I've ever heard of. Solid, Liquid, Gas, and Plasma
singularity (as in black hole)
neutronium
bose-einstein condensate
plasma
gas
liquid
solid
(mostly guessing)
contrary to popular belief there are only six and
the following are:
solid, liquid, plasma, chalupas, noobs and chuck norris(who in himself is the most complicated phase of matter, he also pawns noobs)
