Explain briefly the incomplete combustion of the gas?

Answer:
Incomplete combustion occurs when not enough oxygen is around to support the reaction.

ex:

propane combusts in a small amount of oxygen

C3H8 + 4O2 = CO2 + 2CO + 4H2O

Some CO is formed as a result of there not being enough oxygen present.
Incomplete combustion of a gas produces Carbon Monoxide due to insufficient Oxygen.
