325 ml of Helium gas is heated from 25.0 C to 32.3o C. what is the new volume of He?
Answer:
Volume 1 / Temperature 1 = Volume 2 / Temperature 2
but u have to change the celcius to Kelvin. (25 + 273 = 298 , 32.3 + 273 = 305.3)
325 / 298 = X / 305.3
cross multiply:
(325)(305.3) = 298 X
divide by 298 on both sides:
X = 332.9 --> 333 (3 sig figs) --> 3.33 x 10^ -2 mL (dont forget units)
