Electrolisis (Bicarbonate of sodium )?

Which other sustances remains after electrolisis with Bicarbonate of sodium and water? I ask that because the water gets blue colored.

Answer:
sodium bicarbonate...that's Na(2)CO(3), right?

in electrolysis, the more electronegative ions are attracted to the cathode and anode

that would be the hydrogen ion and hydroxide ion.

i don't see why the solution should turn blue

unless...what electrodes are you using to do the electrolysis?

if you are using copper electrodes, then the solution may tum blue because one of the electrodes ( i'm not sure which one) is being ionised (changing from copper to copper 2+). that would account for the blue tinge in he solution.
