What is the difference between 1/2 cc and 1/2 ml?
Answer:
There is no difference
nothing a cc is a ml
if i remmember correctly I think that they are the same. We learned that in 8th grade science last year. haha
They're synonymous. Same thing!
None, one is a measure of volume (cc), the other of capacity (ml)
cc = cubic centimeter (cm3), it is equivalent to mL
ml (mili liter) is mostly used with liquids, while cc (cubic centimeter) can be used to describe the volume of pretty much anything.
thanks to the genius metric system, they are the same.
They are the same when volume of liquids and gases are used.
With water at 4°C, ½cc and ½mL will have a mass of 0.5g.
(1g/cc or 1g/mL = Density of water at 4°C)
Solids will generally use cc. We don't usually refer to solids in mL as it's a fluid volume measurement.
Also, the mass of 1cc or 1mL of any other fluid will depend on the Specific Gravity of the substance multiplied by the density of water (or air for gases).
