Can someone help with this Chem problem?

Compare/contrast combustion,spontaneous combustion, and slow oxidation.

Which process occurs in our bodies?

Which occurs in engines?

Incorporate the term "kindling temperature" in your explanation.

Answer:
slow oxidation occurs in our bodies- oxidation is the process we use to get rid of things in our body

and spontaneous combustion occurs in engines- spontaneous combustion occurs in engines that work with fuel

hope it helps
Combustion: Any Hydrocarbon + Oxygen -> H2O + CO2 + energy

Spontaneous combustion probably refers to when the 2 reactants above are in close contact, given the right conditions, they're unstable enough to start the chemical reaction themselves.

Slow oxidation occurs when you have 2 unidentical metals that are close together from the bottom list of the reactivity series (not the periodic table) transferring electrons in an redox, like in a battery cell.

The engine uses combustion.

I don't know about human body... if we combust internally we probably died because of the immense heat energy it produces.. so we probably have slow oxidation in our bodies.
