Is Lead(III) nitrate Fe(NO3)3 or Fe2(NO3)3?

Someone told me it's Fe2(NO3)3 but the way I do:

Iron= (Fe)3+ [valance:3]
Nitrate= (NO3)- [valance:1]

Therefore, cross it= Fe(NO3)3.

Pls explain it to me if you have a dif answer.

Thanks,

Answer:
It is right

Iron (III ) nitrate is Fe(NO3)3
Iron (II) nitrate is Fe(NO3)2

Note : lead is Pb ( I thing you are confused ) but the answer is correct because Pb is Pb(II) or Pb(IV) not Pb(III)
Since iron = Fe and lead = Pb,

wouldn't it be Pb (NO3)2 ?
from your heading how is lead-Fe?Fe is iron
lead will not usually show oxidation state of +3.
anyway iron(III)nitrate is Fe(NO3)3.
hi there...
Please note that the symbol for Lead is Pb and not Fe, which is Iron.

In your question...Pb does have a valency of +3 and the nitrate ion has a collective valence charge of -1..so if you meant iron the answer is Fe(NO3)3 and if you meant lead the answer is Pb(NO3)3.

I hope this helps you.
