I need to know how the manufacturing of mirrors effects the environment.?

I am writing a paper on how mirrors are manufactured. One of the requirements states that I must explain how this process affects the environment. I can't seem to find anything online. Please help!

"Recently, two significant changes in mirror manufacturing have occurred in the classical wet chemistry process because of environmental concerns"
you would have to know the chemicals used in the process. A mirror in itself does not appear to be affecting anything but maybe something in the factory is. you wont find anyone who will own up to it who owns the factory. might find a worker maybe.
