Oxalate binding Iron?

I'm writing an article on how Spinach is NOT the Iron source people think it is .. Can anybody please explain the process in which Oxalate works as a complexing agent and binds Iron in the Human body to make Ferrous Oxalate ?.. If you can even write down the chemical reaction .. Thank you ...

Answer:
hey beautiful
firstly id like to say .. with all respect.. HUH? if you can explain your qu? without the sciency talk i would prob be able to answer it ?
It would seem that you only need to go to a pack of spinach to find out its iron content. As for oxalic acid (HOOC-COOH) , either the carboxylic oxygens can covalently bond to iron's d-orbitals or it can form a straightforward ionic salt.
