i have to wash PET in water & Specific gravity of PET is 1.7, so I want to be floting PET while washing. That only can be possible when specific gravity of water will be grater than specefic gravity of water.

for ideal mixtures density can be calculated as:
x1d1+x2d2
where x is mole fraction and d is the density so u can prepare a mixture that gives a higher density but it must also inert with pet while u washing it. also i recommend u to measure its density before u use it bcause the equation only holds for ideal mixtures.
