I know this is a chemical change but why?

The color of ice tea lightens when several drops of lemon juice are added.

Answer:
Your guess is correct, it is a chemical change. The reason is that lemon contains citrous acid which causes some sort of reaction with tea (probably neutralisation), causing it to change color. There are lots of reactions like this where a substance changes colour when it comes into contact with an acid or an alkaline. Such substances are indicators for acid or alkaline presence and for their concentration depending on the colour they take upon reaction.
is it really? The color would change if u added anything to it that was a different color. My best guess would be some kind of bleaching affect because of the acidity of in the lemon juice.
