Calculate the normality of a diluted solution of HCl if its 20ml of normality 10N is mixed with distilled water to make 1dm^3 soln.
Please involve all the steps ..
Thank you tonn in advance !!
Answer:
You can use the formula
N1 V1 = N2 V2
20 mL = 0.02 L
1 dm^3 = 1 L
0.02 x 10 = N2 x 1
N = 0.2 N ( normality of diluted solution )
N1*V1 = N2*V2
so 10*20=N2*1000
N2=0.2N
