What chemical makes are hair color that hair color?

What makes our hair color that hair color- ( which makes us all have all idfferent hair color)

Thanks..

Answer:
Well, first, your hair color is determined genetically by the genes you get from your parents and you usually inherit the dominant trait. Each gene has 2 alleles that carry a type of trait. Say, if your mom has blonde hair, but she actually has an allele inherited from her mom that is red hair, and your dad is in the same situation, then, you have a 50:50 chance of inheriting red hair even if both of your parents aren't red headed.

Chemically, a pigment called melanin is what gives hair color.
ummm. Idk. good question though.
