How to selectively electrowon gold and silver from a cyanide liquor with other base metals such as copper, etc

I have a problem setting the correct parameters (current and voltages of rectifiers, flow, pH of soln, conductivity, etc.) to selectively deposit gold metals into the steel wool cathodes in our electrowinning process with an electrolyte containing considerable amount of copper and other base metals (Cu,Zn,Pb,Ni,etc, etc...). Also, how could I get rid the copper during smelting process?
Please help me...Thanks.

Answer:
all your impurities should react with 68% concentrated nitric acid.gold and platinum will not react.try it,in theory it should work.
Zinc powder is used to cement/precipitate the gold and silver from the cyanide solution. Copper would follow with the gold and siver. Melt these solids into an anode and use sulfuric acid bsed electrowinning to recovery the silver, and then the gold.
