What does it mean when LPG's size of molecules is up to 4 carbon atoms?

I'm doing organic chemistry and it gets pretty confusing. In my notes, it says that Liquefied Petroleum Gases have size of moleculres up to 4 Carbon atoms. Does this means that it's up to butane, because butane has 4 carbon atoms?
Thanks.

Answer:
Yes...3 to 4 Carbons.
LPG consists of either Propane, C3H8 (3 Carbons) or Butane C4H10 (4 Carbons) or a mixture of both depending on normal temperature in the location of its use.
LPG is Liquefied Petroleum Gas and does NOT contain Methane and Ethane as they have to be liquified at too high a pressure and too low a temperature. (They would give LPG too high a vapour pressure).
yup, methane ethane propane and butane, as well as variations of them.
It means that the atoms are mating...give them some privacy.
Yes!

It means that LPG can contain upto Butane. but not more than that.ie. it shouldn't contain pentane ,hexane etc.:)
