On the basis of solubility, how will you distinguish benzyl amine from benzyl alcohol?

Answer:
Benzyl amine is completly soluble by water, and is soluble in ethanol and ether.

Benzyl alcohol
Solubility in H2O: 3.5% @ 20°C
Solvent Solubility: soluble in alcohol, ether, chloroform, acetone, benzene, and aromatic hydrocarbons
benzyl alcohol is more soluble than benzyl amine, because alcohol could form 2 hydrogen bonds, benzyl amine only could have 1 hydrogen bond.

Benzyl amine will have high solubility in acidic water (0.1M HCl for example) b/c amine group is basic. The alcohol is many times less basic and will have low solubility in the same acidified water.
