What cause the weight of sample in volatile suspended solid icreased after burned to 550C?

Answer:
what probably happened was you had some "junk " that could be burned at 550C that was also on the crucible or filter was weighed to give the tare weight. this junk burnded off in the furnace and the filter shows that you've lost wieght as far as VSS. be careful with the filters before you weigh them for the tare weight
Anything "burned" is oxidized. That is the addition of oxygen to the structure of the molecule or element. Hence, it (generally) will weigh more.
