A titration was performed on 50.0 ml of 0.250 M NaOH. After the addition of 71.4 ml of HCl, the phenolphthalei
Answer:
I presume you would know the concentration of HCl
Moles NaOH = 50.0 x 0.250 / 1000 = 0.0125
Moles HCl = 0.0125
M = 0.0125 / 0.071 L = 0.176 M ( concentration HCl )
that's not a question...
See first your question is not complete..but heres what i figured!
THE NaOH was in the conical flask under the burette.
50 ml of NaCl is the volume of NaCl solution. 0.250 M indicates the molarity or concentration of the solution.
HCl was added from the burette.and after adding 71.4 ml fo HCl the indicator...which is phenophthalein in this case...the indicator changed color...so...i the titration is stopped!
As your question is not complete...i cnt help further!
If u dnt understand sumthng.read abt titration on wikipedia!
