Does anyone know...?

Does anyone know what would happen if I put soap on my mirror in my bathroom and then take shower? I have school in 15 mins and I'd like to know. Thank you guys, love yas.

Answer:
The soap prevents condensation on the mirror by absorbing the water particles that falls upon it.

It is an old trick used by aircraft pilots in the old days, they put a thin film of shampoo over their cockpit windscreen to prevent it fogging up at higher altitudes where the water vapour in their breath condenses due to low temperatures.
When you got out of the shower you'd have a soapy mirror.
most likely the mirror will be slightly sopy and the soap will slide off
The (hot?) shower will cause condensation on a cold mirror. However a soap film will break up the surface tension of the water condensation preventing the formation of beads of water that fog the mirror. Beads of water reflect light differently than a continuous surface (rainbows depend on beads of water to diffract and reflect a spectrum of colors).
