Where in india is deionized water available? I need it for a medicine?

Answer:
Deionized water may not be available as such as it can come in contact with impurities and change its behaviour. However, distilled water is available in power plants and other water plants. The distilled water can be deionized either by passing through ion exchange resins or by re-distillation in presence of KMnO4 , which gives almost deionized water.
If you cannot find deionized water, distilled water is an excellent substitute.
Try distilled water. It's deionized too.
In India it's commonly available in battery shops but now that u're using it in medicines the water from battery shops will not do.

U should search it in chemistry labs.
Don't know if this will work, but try the link below. Submit your question directly to bottledwaterindia.org.
if you have the money, and i would assume so since you are synthesizing medicine, get a purification machine.

the one in my lab makes reverse osmosis deionized distilled water (ro ddH2O).

or you can just use distilled water. i think thats what they do in college labs anyway. won't matter too much
take a bottle and collect direct rainy water at pollution free higher hills like himalaya
or
take a ordinary water place it as it is for 3 to 4 days ions will setteled down.
If you are manufacturing medicines the Drug and Cosmetic Act specifies the quality of water needed. Unless one conforms to this no license will be given.

If it is for personal use, distilled water is available from many sources in different cities (Look up the yellow Pages). After buying this, it has to be boiled again to render it sterile before use.
