What does this symbol ∆G stand for? Its chemistry?

Answer:
Change in the Gibbs Free Energy. The unit is Kj. Negative = spontaneous; positive = non-spontaneous. It is calculated by:
delta G = delta H minus (temperature times delta s). Watch your units. Like G, enthalpy (H) is generally in Kj, while entropy (S) is in joules. Convert to Kj before calculating. And temp must be in Kelvin.
change in gibbs free energy
delta G is the change in free energy in a reaction. and yes it is chemistry
The Gibbs free energy.
If it's negative, the reaction is spontaneous.
If it's positive, the reaction is not spontaneous.
the triangle is the greek letter delta, it means "the change in"
so, whatever G is, it would be the G after the experiment minus the G before the experiment
change in Gibbs free energy

Delta BG is change in the Bee Gee's costumes
