Has anyone (other than firefighters) ever been taught how to use fire extinguishers?
Answer:
I have been taught how to use a fire extinguisher, When I received my training for my job it was required. I don't know if you are asking how, but I will tell you just in case.
1. Make sure that it is point away from you and towards the fire.
2. pull the pin
3. Aim it at the bottom of the fire and with a sweeping motion back and forth pull the handle spraying the fire.
You do need to be sure you are using the proper fire extinguisher for the fire you are using. There are 3 types and it should be labled so that you know which one to use.
