Candles? what?

okay so i hadda candle lit, not for that long, and outta nowhere the flame got ginormous, so big that it was kinda dangerous..what caused this flame explosion thingy? thanks!

Answer:
I can only quess that there was something really volatile in the candle that caused this. If the candle was scented it could have been the scent not being completely mixed into the candle wax.
Poltergeist activity.
Lots of oxygen, something in the candle maybe. wind...i dunno its mysterious gotta give it that tho
A swarm of bugs laced with petroleum based bug spray flew into it.
Some drops of a liquid ( we name it VL ) were traped in the
candle. and when the flame was near the part that they were
traped, because the VL's boiling point is low, they became
gas and wanted to exit, in the way they reacted whit air and
something like explosion happened.
