Some Questions On Molecules and Solids Liquids and Gases?

What happens to the volume of a gas when it is placed under high pressure?

What happens to the volume of a gas when it is heated?

What is the kinetic theory of gases?

Why do solids not change shape when they are placed in a container where as liquids take the shape of the container they are in?

Answer:
Under high pressure = condenses

Heat = heat speeds up molecules casuing it to expand

The theory = gases will occupy all space my spreading itself out given the current physical conditions

Solids/Liquids = Molecules on solids are held together, thus giving it a shape. When place in other containers it will not change shaoe due to the tight bunch of the molecules. Once warmed the molecules will loosin, turning the solution from a solid to a liquid. Liquids take shape of the container b/c the molecule are more free flowing than that of solids. This allows them to take shape the container.
