A hydrocarbon contains only what elements?

All hydrocarbons contain only Carbon and Hydrogen.

They can be broadly divided into Alkanes, alkenes and alkynes.
When u add functional groups to it like ( OH, COOH, CHO), u get different compounds of alcohals, aldehydes etc.
As the name implies, a hydrocarbon contains only hydrogen and carbon. Alkanes, Alkenes and Alkynes are some examples of hydrocarbons.
