1- crushed red pepper is no good for this, you need a pure compound, and red pepper is a mix of millions of chemical compounds. Take salt instead, or sugar, or even water. Then work out the chemical composition, add the nuclear mass for the total of the formula, and take that number times of gram of the stuff. Water, for instance, is H2O, H is 1 each, and O is 16, therefore 18 g of water would contain 6.022E23 molecules.
1 L is one liter. That is a cube 10 cm to each side.
Equilibrium is when something can transfer back and forth, a reversible reaction, but where the amount on either side remains constant, since it is balanced.
For the physical equilibrium, a capped jar with some water in it is all that is needed, as some water will evaporate and be in the air above the water, and water molecule will continuously evaporate as other condense and fall back into the liquid.

This works for any element, but for compounds, I think you need to to know the compound structure, then figure for 1 mol of the compound.
2. first off, you have to know that 1ml = 1 cm^3. So, filling this with 1 liter of water is the same as saying it has a volume of 1000cm^3. The volume of a cube is V=s^3 where s=the distance of any side. therefore, we can solve for s.
1000cm^3=s^3
cbrt(1000cm^3)=cbrt(s^3)
10cm=s
each side of the cube is 10cm long.
3 and 4. I THINK an equilibrium system is a reaction that balances. A two phase would mean you have one reaction that creates material which can then react themselves. Such as one reaction that creates hydrogen has, a second that creates oxygen gas, and then a third phase that combines the two gases into water. Not gonna give an example, cause I'm not sure on this one.
