we used to drunk dial with a helium balloon, hysterical when we would get calls the next day of people like "what the f u c k?" we just laughed!

Had to answer this though as I took a load of kids to a Health Conference today, an ambulance guy was giving a talk and was getting his Ethanol out to show how it changes your Voice (like helium) and makes you dizzy! Kids thought it was hilarious - I got a tad worried after 2 hours and ten separate groups of kids! He looked a bit peaky at the end!!
No. Anyways, your new squeaky voice doesn't last for long after you inhale the helium.
