Why does the - terminal on the lead acid battery charger always corrode?

Answer:
its a cause of oxidation or chemical action of acid inside the battery
I don't know but if you're talking about the posts on a battery, a mechanic friend of mine taught me to clean them really good with a wire brush (or there's a special tool for cleaning them) then put grease on them as well as the battery wires.
